INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR CANADIAN STUDIES

The Indian Association for Canadian Studies is a voluntary, non-profit, scholarly organisation which seeks to promote teaching, research and publications related to Canadian Studies in India.  Membership is open to students/teachers/scholars actively interested in Canadian Studies.

 

The IACS arranges seminars, workshops and conferences on Canadian and Indo-Canadian Studies. The IACS prepares and publishes an inventory of contacts between Indian and Canadian Universities.  The Association particularly encourages interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary and comparative cross-cultural approaches to Canadian/Indo-Canadian Studies.

 

Through its annual meetings, seminars, conferences and the Newsletter, the Association informs its members and seeks to facilitate the flow of information, communication and visitors between universities in India and abroad. IACS also publishes the Indian Journal of Canadian Studies.  The Association is affiliated to the International Council for Canadian Studies, the President of te Association is a member of the Board of Directors of the Council in Ottawa.

Membership Fee

The membership fee should be sent in the form of crossed Draft made out in favour of IACS (Indian Association for Canadian Studies) and sent to the following address. However, no money should be sent initially along with the application form.

                           1. In general fresh applicants will be initially enrolled as annual members for two years and life member thereafter.

   2.   Membership is subject to approval of Executive Committee.
