                                     INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR CANADIAN STUDIES RESEARCH TRAVEL GRANT

GUIDELINES

Application should be submitted to the President / Secretary , IACS on the form prescribed for this purpose.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Involvement of the Indian Association for Canadian Studies.
2. Involvement in a Canadian Studies Programme i.e, M.Phil, Ph.D. or a Specific Research Project.
3. Letter of consent from the host Centre for Canadian Studies and Library Sahstri Canadian Institute proposed to be visited.

GRANT DETAILS

1. The maximum duration of the stay will be 2 weeks.

2. The grant will include daily allowance of Rs.1000/- (to meet board and lodging expenses) It will be paid for the actual number of days spent at the Centre / Institution. The train fare (upto second class sleeper) with Rs.100/- per day as incidental charges during journey will be reimbursed.

3. An amount upto Rs.250/- to meet photocopying charges on production of receipts is admissible.

4. The grant will be released to the selected candidates only after the following conditions are met:

    a) Certificate from the Director of the Centre of Canadian Studies visited by the candidate to the effect that the candidate has         visited centre for the period of stay mentioned by him / her.

    b) A brief report of the work done by the candidate during his / her visit
.
    c) Xerox copies of train tickets and other bills.

The candidate may also note that those selected will have to make their own arrangement for accommodation at the places they are visiting. They may, however, get help from the concerned Centre / Institution for Canadian Studies they intend to visit.
